Doodle makes scheduling meetings easier
One of the most annoying parts of scheduling a meeting is the back-and-forth emails figuring out
which times work best for everyone involved. Doodle helps make scheduling meetings easier by allowing users to
democratically vote for the best meeting time without a flood of emails to your inbox. Users can
also sync up their Doodle meetings with Outlook, Facebook, Google Calendars and a variety of other
web applications.
The service is completely free to use, but Doodle also offers premium services for expanded
functionality. For more information, check out this article from mashable.com, which recently featured Doodle as
part of its "Spark of Genius" series.
How to say "Good-bye"
Leaving a job you enjoy (and even one you do not) is never easy, especially when it comes time to
tell your employer you have accepted another position. About.com offers some sample resignation letters, information on how to inform
your employer of your departure and other job-termination tips. Even if you need to leave a job
unexpectedly on short notice, this resource teaches you how to do so diplomatically and
professionally.
Can multitasking be harmful to your health?
With so many
different computers, gadgets, websites and other technologies available at our fingertips these
days, people seem to be multitasking more than ever before. One recent study, however, suggests
that too much multitasking can actually be detrimental to your productivity and overall
health.
The study, released by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, found that people who
use a variety of multimedia are often distracted by irrelevant information much easier than those
who focus on just a couple of tasks at a time. Read more about this study.
